Ocean Advice is expanding its Limassol office, and we are looking to hire a proactive and experienced Recruitment Officer to support our growth and attract top talent across the business.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Act as a point of contact for agents and direct applicants
  • Support the Recruitment and HR-Crewing Manager in implementing and maintaining the overall recruiting strategy
  • Source and attract candidates by using agent’s databases, referrals, networks, social media, etc.
  • Maximize direct hires through channels such as talent pipelines and social media
  • Support set-up and co-ordination at recruitment sessions at agencies and for direct applicants
  • Builds network to find qualified passive candidates
  • Conduct interviews and assess applicant’s relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes
  • Monitor responses to vacancies, follow trends and ensure all CVs are screened, logged and forwarded to relevant teams
  • Ensure that the administration of the recruitment process is smooth, timely and in an accurate manner
  • Ensures all vacancies are filled with the suitable candidates within the targeted time.
  • To ensure that the applicants hold valid STCW certificates and in compliance with the 2010 Manila Amendments, are in possession of a valid medical certificate issued in accordance with MLC2006 requirements
  • Provide analytical and well documented reports
  • Responsible for the creation of crew profiles in company’s crewing system

 

Key Requirements:

  • Degree or at least 3 years’ experience in HR, Crewing, Recruiting or Hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of the various Hotel/Catering / Deck & Engine positions in the Ocean Cruise Industry
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) Spanish, German, French or any other additional language is considered an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office and experience with crewing- recruitment software/s
  • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency based, stress, etc.)
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, reference check, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Social media knowledge
  • Self-Confident with good negotiating skills
  • Ability to work with strict deadlines
  • Availability to travel when required
