Ocean Advice is expanding its Limassol office, and we are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated HR-Crewing Officers to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an international maritime organization in a dynamic and supportive working environment.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Coordinate recruitment requirements and liaise with the Recruitment Department to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process
  • Manage the administrative aspects of crewing operations in accordance with departmental instructions and company procedures
  • Ensure all seafarers are fully trained, certified, and compliant with Company policies, STCW conventions, and Flag State requirements
  • Liaise with manning agents regarding crew members’ new assignments and coordinate embarkation arrangements
  • Monitor and review vessel manning levels in line with Minimum Safe Manning Certificates and any special manning requirements
  • Arrange and book travel for on-signing and off-signing crew in accordance with approved rotation plans
  • Verify that all travelling crew possess valid travel documentation, including visas where required
  • Arrange emergency repatriation and travel for crew in cases of medical or compassionate disembarkation
  • Prepare and issue employment contracts in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations
  • Maintain and regularly update the crew database, ensuring accuracy and compliance with data requirements
  • Support onboarding, rotations and crew welfare matters
  • Review and monitor crew performance appraisals in coordination with relevant stakeholders
  • Support and monitor seafarers’ career development and promotion pathways
  • Manage crew cancellations, no-shows, resignations, and terminations in line with company procedures
  • Ensure timely and accurate input of all payroll-related data to facilitate correct wage payments
  • Conduct vessel visits as required to support crewing and operational needs
  • Provide support on additional HR and crewing-related projects as required

 

Key Requirements:

  • Min. 2 years of experience in a Crewing Officer or HR role within maritime industry
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Good knowledge of crewing procedures, maritime regulations and certification requirements
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in MS Office and experience with crewing software/s
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or emergency calls
  • Availability to travel when required
